Terms
Last updated 2 September 2026
These are the terms for using Brief while it is in invite-only preview. They are short because the product is small. The privacy page says what we do with information; this page says what we ask of you.
What Brief is
Brief builds an AI version of a real person from public information so you can rehearse a conversation. A rep is a practice partner. It is not the person, it does not speak for them, and nothing it says is a commitment, a decision or a statement by the real person. It can be wrong.
What we ask of you
Use it to prepare, not to deceive.Don’t present a rep, or anything it says or sounds like, as the real person to anyone. Don’t use Brief to harass, impersonate or embarrass the person a rep is of.
Only upload what you have the right to. If you add audio, video, documents or notes, you are responsible for having the right to use them. A voice cloned from clips stays in your private room and is never shared; the only cloned voice that travels is one the person recorded or supplied themselves.
Respect a removal. If a person asks for their rep to be removed, it goes, along with any copies, and we will not build another until they say otherwise.
One account, yours. Keep your sign-in to yourself. Invite codes are for the person they were sent to. A share link is for the people you choose; you can turn it off at any time.
What you can expect from us
Your rehearsals are private to you. We will not show them to anyone else, including the person the rep is of. We will tell people what a rep is built from and give them a way to correct or remove it. We may change or withdraw features during the preview, and we will say so when we do.
The usual
Brief is provided as is during the preview. We are not liable for decisions you make based on a rehearsal. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Tennessee. If we change them, the date at the top changes and the change is described in plain words.
